  • “We had such a brilliant week at Jubilee Cottage.”

The cottage was clean and comfortable, and we loved the quirky traditional features. The shutters are lovely! Very comfortable beds too. The layout was perfect for our needs. Family of 2 adults and 2 boys age 10 and 11. They enjoyed the mezzanine level, and would disappear up there after a busy day at the beach . The downstairs shower room also very handy to wash the sand off before going any further into the cottage. The private front area was a little sun trap and great for drying wet suits ...

The private front area was a little sun trap and great for drying wet suits and storing body boards etc. The back garden with patio furniture was great for relaxing with a glass of wine! The cottage is set in a little hamlet, roads are traditionally Cornish! We have a large Volvo and managed it, the car fit on the designated parking area. You do have to be a relatively good driver to navigate the local roads! Area was outstanding. Short 10 min walk to the beach, not a walk for people with mobility issues, as down a steep track. I managed it in flip flops though so not too bad! Beach gorgeous. Low tide for 3 hours a day only so it’s not a busy busy beach. Kids loved it as little caves and ‘private’ rock pools to play in. Paradise. We were lucky enough to have wall to wall sunshine for the entire week. We visited Rock, Port Isaac and Charlestown. I can Honestly say the most beautiful places in the U.K. I have visited. Also had lunch at the Port William Inn over looking the local beach. Sorry for the essay but we had such a great time I had to tell all. We will be back, thank you

The property

With the wide golden sands of Trebarwith Strand a short downhill stroll away, Jubilee Cottage offers the perfect base for families and friends looking to enjoy the beaches, coastal walks and amazing scenery all of the north Cornwall coast. Lifeguarded in the summer months and dog friendly all year, Trebarwith Strand is popular with families and pet lovers alike.

A haven for water based activities, the north coast offers water skiing, sailing, diving and fishing trips all within a short drive.

This beautifully presented cottage is in the hamlet of Treknow set midway along the rugged coastline between the pretty fishing village of Port Isaac and legendary Tintagel Tintagel Castle with its brand new bridge to access its famed castle ruins and fabled birthplace of King Arthur.

There are two pubs in the village, the highly regarded Mill House Inn, just a 5 minute walk from the cottage and The Port William Inn which nestles into the cliff overlooking the beach. With its period, white stone facade, Jubilee Cottage offers a superb blend of thoughtful stylish furnishings and original characterful features.

The cool crisp sitting room is a wonderful space year round.

In the warm summer months, glazed garden doors welcome the outside in, whilst a crackling woodburner ensures that you'll remain warm and cosy on cooler autumn evenings.

Set on a mezzanine level (accessed via steep ladder style stairs - children should be supervised) a second sitting area is a welcome retreat away from the main living space.

In the sleek, contemporary kitchen you can prepare a delicious meal on the feature range style cooker before eating together in the bright, adjacent dining room.

Jubilee Cottage offers four wonderful and pristine bedrooms; two double rooms, one with an elegant en suite bathroom with decadent slipper bath and two single rooms.

Two further immaculate bath/shower rooms complete the internal accommodation.
