Porthkidney beach is large and sandy, and lies just in front of the dunes at Lelant. At low tide, it is possible to walk round to Carbis Bay from Porthkidney. Please note the river at Porthkidney is unsuitable for swimming, and the currents can be dangerous at this beach. There are no facilities at this beach, parking can be found at St Uny Church (a 10-minute walk from the beach, which passes the West Cornwall Golf Course), and dogs are permitted on the beach all year round.
