Children’s Art Competition with Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust

This year, we at Cornish Cottage Holidays are proud to be raising money for Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust – an exceptionally important charity for both locals and visitors to our beautiful community.

As part of our fundraising efforts, we are pleased to launch an exciting new art competition for 2025.

The Competition

We are inviting children of all ages to get creative and draw a holiday house for ‘Heli’ the helicopter! Entrants will be in with a chance to win a £500 holiday voucher for their family.

It can be as extravagant and unusual as you like. Why not draw a mansion, with a helipad and hangar for Heli to sleep in? Or how about a beautiful barn beside the sea, complete with a wash station for Heli? Remember to make your designs imaginative, colourful and eye-catching.

Whilst entry to our competition is free, parents are invited to make a small voluntary donation for taking part, if they can.

All money raised will be fund matched by our parent company Sykes Holiday Cottages, so this is a great opportunity for us to raise money and make a difference to Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust.

What can I win?

The competition will run throughout the year and closes on 31st October 2025. One lucky winner will receive a Sykes Holiday Cottages voucher worth £500, to spend on a UK self-catering getaway in any of our properties during 2026.

How do I enter?

Download or take an entry form at one of the shows and events we are attending in 2025. Alternatively collect a form from our office at 9a Barncoose Retail Park, Redruth, Cornwall, TR15 3RQ.

Once your design is complete hand it back to the team, post it or email it back to us: victoria.rogers@sykescottages.co.uk. Judging will take place on 1st November 2025.

Competition Terms and Conditions
1. The Competition prize is made up of a £500 voucher, which can be used on a stay at any property listed with Sykes Holiday Cottages, or any of the regional brands associated with them.
2. The prize of the £500 holiday voucher is valid for 2 years from date of competition closing. Must be redeemed by 31st October 2027.
4. The competition can be entered by any child aged 4 to 17. A parent or guardian aged 18 or over must be listed on the entry form, who will be allocated the prize voucher.
5. The competition prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer; is non-transferable and there shall be no alternative prize or cash alternative offered.
6. Sykes Cottages will not be held accountable for any costs, losses, damages, and expenses (including travel fees) that the winner may incur in relation to the Competition or prize or as a result of any misrepresentation of the prize.
7. The prize winner is required to pay the ‘good housekeeping bond’ associated with booking this property. Please see section 4.12 of our booking conditions for more information.
8. The winner will be contacted by Cornish Cottage Holidays directly.
9. All entry requirements must have been followed to be entered into the competition.
