It had everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed!! Perfect place to relax in the evening after a long day exploring. Very convenient for walking into Falmouth town. Also a great base for exploring Cornwall. Amanda & Richard were perfect hosts, easy to contact if needed but not intrusive. If we come back to Falmouth we will definately check to see if The Retreat is available!

The property

The Retreat is a wonderful, semi-detached cottage resting in a quiet part of Falmouth, just a short stroll from the town centre.

Furnished to a lovely standard and benefiting from an outdoor swimming pool, this property is a great choice for couples wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of their everyday lives and relax in the idyllic region of South Cornwall.

Prepare delicious meals in the well-appointed kitchen before curling up on the electric reclining sofa with your loved one, perhaps enjoying a good film or catching up on your favourite series.

As the evening draws to a close, retire to the bedroom, complete with a plush king-size double for added comfort, and plenty of storage space for your belongings.

Just off the bedroom is a small study and a lovely bathroom where you can enjoy a soothing soak after a day of rambling the coastline.

Continuing to impress, outside there is a swimming pool which is heated during the summer months, as well as two sun loungers which are perfect for soaking up the Cornish sun!

You may even fancy dining outside for that romantic moment with your partner.

Wander the quaint streets of Falmouth to find an abundance of places to eat and drink, or head to the coastline to discover many spectacular beaches which offer a range of water sports and beach activities to suit everyone.

Catch a ferry from Falmouth to St Mawes and explore the beautiful Roseland Peninsula which is truly picture-postcard worthy!

Further afield, the wonderful city of Truro is easy accessible by train and wealth of shops and eateries.
