Why a cottage in Bodmin?

Composed of granite buildings and narrow roads, Bodmin Town is home to a lively community atmosphere that has lots to see and do. The town has a number of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as other facilities such as a Post Office and train station.

One of the main attractions is Bodmin Jail, built in 1778. This iconic prison is a key place of interest; they also offer dark tours if you’re up for it! Nearby you can find Pencarrow House and Lanhydrock House, both of which have beautiful gardens to explore.

If you’re looking for something a bit more active, then the wild and craggy Bodmin Moor is perfect for hiking. It has diverse and dramatic landscapes with great views and scenery to discover. 

The Camel Trail leads through Bodmin towards Wadebridge, Padstow, and Polzeath. Its flat, traffic-free surface is perfect for bikes, pushchairs and wheelchairs.
