Weather awful but cottage had all you needed for a wet stay. Found parking a little bit tight,but a large car park can be used across the road. Owners very helpful should you need anything. Very good spot to cover all parts of Cornwall on your days out. Would recommend this well equipped cottage.

The property is situated in a lovely quiet village with the likes of Bodmin, Wadebridge, Padstow etc a drive away. This location is ideal if you want peace and quiet, it definitely suited us. It is a lovely well maintained property, very clean, cosy and the owners are lovely people, from our arrival they left us alone but I am sure if any issues had arisen they would have been there to put right. Nanstallon is a lovely location and an ideal base for visiting both coasts of Cornwall. The cottage is also just 25 minutes walk from Camel Valley Vineyard which is well worth visiting.

“Have stayed at this cottage before.”

Its well equipped, in a quiet spot, and with easy access to main through routes. We received a warm friendly welcome, and after a brief bit of unpacking went off to find lunch. Nanstallon doesn't have shops / pub etc, but a 10-15 minute walk to the Camel valley trail you will find the Camel valley tea gardens. Tables are on terraces overlooking the trail, hot and cold food, drinks, cream teas etc. In the opposite direction, past Boscarne junction station (steam railway) there's the Borough Arms pub. good food, carvery etc. If you need a fish and chip fix, there's an award winning chippy in Lanivet, just a few minutes drive from the cottage. For exploring Cornwall, for those who don't wish to drive all week, Bodmin park and ride rail station is only a couple of miles away. Links to most major towns in Cornwall.. Had another great week!

Have to go everywhere in the car as no local facilities.Only need to be aware of that if it would cause a problem

It's a lovely cottage with a very well equipped kitchen, and we appreciated all the books, games and dvds in the evenings. Great location for exploring most of Cornwall! Perfect with a three month old baby but probably less so when they get to the rolling stage. Few minor points - We did find the bed rather uncomfortable and the paintwork could do with a general refresh soon to make the most of the lovely building.

Great base to explore the Camel Trail, we enjoyed cycling to Padstow and Wenfordbridge. Ideal location to visit both coasts. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped cottage. Our second visit and we hope to return next year.

Well equipped with two outside seating areas - one catches the morning sun and the other is great after a days walking. Inside is a little tired and could do with a general refresh, especially the mattress and the sofa, both of which we found uncomfortable.

Wits End is a charming cottage set in the village of Nanstallon, overlooking the beautiful Camel Valley and the famous Camel Trail near Bodmin, and can sleep two people in one double bedroom with an en-suite.

Bodmin 3 miles; Wadebridge 6 miles.

Nanstallon is a small village in the centre of Cornwall, just three miles from Bodmin. The village overlooks the River Camel and is on the Camel Trail long distance path. Nanstallon is also home to a 1st century Roman fort. The town of Bodmin is three miles away, and boasts narrow streets, shops and pubs. It is perfectly placed for exploring all that this fabulous holiday area has to offer, whilst on the edge of the town is the fascinating museum and haunting presence of the old Bodmin Jail. Close by are the open spaces and wind swept grandeur of Bodmin Moor while the incomparable Eden Project, Falmouth’s National Maritime Museum and the beautiful harbour town of Padstow with its famous pubs and restaurants make for great days out. Also within easy reach and ideal for a fun-filled day out, guests can visit Lanhydrock House, the small town of Fowey and Charlestown with its Tall Ships. There is a good choice of country pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area.
