Portreath sits nestled between dramatic cliffs and sandy beaches, ideally located for exploring the rugged countryside of West Cornwall. A small fishing village that boasts lots of character, Portreath is a wonderful seaside retreat, unspoilt by mass tourism.

Wander to the north of the beach and find the harbour wall provides shelter and warmth for a fine tidal swimming pool. Set amidst rocks and rock pools, it’s perfect for the little ones to uncover all sorts of sea creatures.

Visit the quiet island of Godrevy, home to a large colony of Grey Seals. Dolphins, porpoises and even Basking Sharks can also be spotted here. Slightly further away are the busier towns of Falmouth, Penzance and Helston.
