The Retreat is a wonderful two-storey property, semi-detached to the owner’s main house, resting in a quiet part of Falmouth, just a short stroll from the town centre and Swanpool Nature Reserve.Gyllyngvase Beach, one of seven with Blue Flag status in Cornwall, and Pendennis Castle are also within comfortable walking distance.

Recently refurbished, furnished to a lovely standard and benefiting from an outdoor heated swimming pool, this property is a well-situated choice for couples wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of their everyday lives and relax in the idyllic region of South Cornwall.

Guests have clearly defined, exclusive spaces in the shared garden which benefits from the sun all day long.The patio boasts views of the pool and garden and, for those seeking respite from the sun, unwind the awning to relax in the shade.Guests also have exclusive use of the pebble beach beside the pool, complete with two comfortable sun loungers, ideal for lounging poolside.A Stainless Steel Drum BBQ is perfect for alfresco summer dining.

When you need to cool off, take a dip in the water - the owners are happy for guests to use their private pool which is even heated during the summer months (June-August).

To the front of the property, The Retreat’s entrance is entirely separate from the entrance to the main house and it's private courtyard, accessed via a short flight of steps, also offers a seating area for guests.The courtyard overlooks the guests’ parking space on the shared driveway for one car.

Wander the quaint streets of Falmouth to find an abundance of independent eateries or head to the coastline to discover many walks and spectacular beaches which offer a range of water sports and beach activities to suit everyone.Catch a ferry from Falmouth to St Mawes and explore the beautiful Roseland Peninsula which is truly picture-postcard worthy!Make the most of the nearby train station for the excellent 'Maritime Line' to discover the wonderful Capital of Truro as well as destinations further afield.

Across from Falmouth harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes). For nature lovers there is the Swanpool Nature Reserve, a lagoon and site of special scientific interest teeming with a variety of wildlife.
