  • “This cottage has scored 4/5 for the following reasons; The bath plug was in the middle of the bath, and is a push on push off style plug.”

Which meant when lying down, you end up sitting on the plug and releasing it. The shower was adjustable, but due to the height of the ceiling, it was set as high as it would go, which was still a little low for me (I'm 5' 8" tall). I dislike plastic shower curtains, as they stick to you during a shower but I know this is a personal thing. The upstairs neighbours were a little noisy - I think there's a child or children up there and they were jumping around causing some disturbance later in the evenings and early in the mornings. The bedroom window refused to open during our stay. I know that if I'd reported this to Simon he would have fixed it but I didn't feel it was urgent so I left him a note separately for this. We also contacted Simon midway through our stay as we were unable to open the front door once on returning after a day out. He text me back straight away and arrived half an hour later to fix the problem. Overall we had a really great enjoyable and relaxing stay. We appreciate everything Simon & Nanette did to make our stay a really pleasant one and will recommend this cottage to others.
