This pretty 13th century fishing village is one of the Cornish Coast’s hidden gems. Unspoilt and tucked away, one of our Gorran Haven holiday cottages makes the perfect relaxing getaway.

Why a Gorran Haven cottage?

The village lies at the foot of Dodman Point, on Cornwall’s South Coast. It consists of a traditional harbour with two pleasant sandy beaches, surrounded by a cluster of quaint fisherman’s cottages, with the remainder of the village radiating out from this centre point. Within three miles is the popular fishing port of Mevagissey with its traditional harbour and collection of pubs, cafés, galleries and shops lining its lovely narrow streets.

We have a number of holiday lets in Gorran Haven within walking distance from the beach. The beaches at Gorran Haven are some of the best swimming destinations in the county, with both of the secluded coves being sheltered by the headland of Dodman Point. It is perfect for families, with the facilities of the village close to hand and a sandy beach ideal for building epic castles.

Places to visit near Gorran Haven

Its location on the South Coast of Cornwall means that Gorran Haven is within close proximity to many of the popular towns and villages in the area, such as St Austell, Pentewan and Charlestown. The South West Coast Path passes through the village offering plenty of great walking opportunities and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, an attraction favoured by tourists and locals alike, is also close by.
