Anywhere in Cornwall can provide a welcome festive escape, but there are some places that are at the top of our wish list. Here are just a few ideas of where to visit on your Christmas break in Cornwall.

Mousehole

Mousehole Christmas lights.

One of Cornwall’s most popular Christmas destinations, Mousehole attracts visitors every winter for its famous harbour lights. These have been organised by volunteers for over 60 years, and do a great job of making this already beautiful fishing village a magical sight at Christmas. If you’re a lover of Christmas illuminations, be sure to read our guide to the best Christmas lights in Cornwall.

Mousehole also makes a great base for a festive break, with independent shops, a generally quaint atmosphere and the stunning West Cornwall coast on your doorstep. If you’re visiting in winter, we recommend nearby Lands End for some dramatic storm watching on the edge of the earth.
