Watergate Bay beach is a two-mile long stretch of golden sand that frequently gets the swell from the Atlantic, making it popular with surfers. Enjoy the gentle low tides to get you started before taking on the challenging rolling waves further out. During the summer months, the beach hosts an electric music festival that’s sure to be a night to remember.

The beach is also a favourite with dog walkers, as it doesn’t have a seasonal ban. However, if you fancy taking the dog out somewhere else, the North Cornwall stage of the South West Coast Path is a great choice, filled with breath-taking views and mixed terrain.
