Why a Holiday Cottage in Newquay?

The town was originally known as Towan Blistra until a new quay was built in the 15th century, used for importing coal and exporting ore, as well as for pilchard fishing. Over the years Newquay has prospered into the bustling seaside town that you see today, complete with a selection of shops, boutiques, countless bars and restaurants, cafes, takeaways and clubs; something to appeal to every taste.

On a holiday in Newquay you won’t struggle for fantastic things to do. Renowned for its surfing, the town has eleven beaches, hosting many surfing competitions, some international, throughout the year. Also in the town there are two golf courses, a skate park, tennis centre, bowling and riding stables, as well as the Blue Reef Aquarium, Newquay Zoo, and Cornwall's Crealy Adventure Park.
